Main Street Open House
Invites Community to Participate
In Program to Enhance Downtown

The Woodstock Downtown Business Association (WDBA), an Illinois Main Street Associate Program, is hosting three open houses to launch its volunteer partnership campaign, inviting the community to participate in this once-in-lifetime organization.   

Open houses will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm on August 27th, September 10th, and September 24th at the WDBA offices at 223 Main Street .  

Local residents as well as downtown business and property owners and all others in the community are encouraged to attend one of the Open Houses to learn how they can participate in this vital and creative program that promotes economic revitalization and preservation of the historic downtown.  A walking tour highlighting many of the unique historical features of the downtown will also be provided

Traveling  to Woodstock 

BY CAR:  Woodstock is located an easy driving distance from Chicago, Rockford, and Milwaukee.  The Woodstock Square is located 1 mile west of the intersection of Lake St. and IL. Route 47, just 12 miles north of I-90.

Driving directions to Woodstock.

BY TRAIN:  Take Metra for relaxing travel to Woodstock!  Woodstock is serviced by Metra's Union Pacific/Northwest Line, Chicago to Harvard.  The Woodstock Station is in the heart of downtown.

Parking in Woodstock

Step out of the madness and discover the magic!  There's ample free parking (over 1000 parking spaces) just footsteps from all the downtown shops,  restaurants, and entertainment venues. .....AND you will NEVER have to feed the meter in Woodstock!

The Woodstock Downtown Business Association’s (WDBA) efforts for downtown revitalization have earned it recognition as an Associate of the Illinois Main Street Program.   Lucia Matlock, President of the WDBA, received the designation on behalf of the organization on Thursday, November 15th from Illinois Lt. Governor Pat Quinn at the Annual Illinois Main Street Conference held in Danville, IL.  Out of 26 communities that started the application process in 2007, the WDBA was one of only three organizations accepted into the Illinois Main Street program this year.  The Illinois Main Street program is a volunteer-driven, community and preservation-based, downtown revitalization program.  For more information about the Illinois Main Street Program, click on the logo below.
